RAID Controller upgrade for Power Edge RX740XD

I have a Powered RX740xd with a HBA330 Min - the HBA330 doesn't handle RAID - and I would like to pull it and replace it with a Dell 4R84R PERC H740P PCI Express SAS SATA Minicard - but I can't find any documentation on whether or not this card will fit and work for my server.

Will it work and allow me to maintain the connections to the backplane without having to replace the cabling?

Hello, thanks for choosing Dell.
As we are not aware of the current build and configuration,

You will need to have a look here yourself to see if what you wish to do is going to work.
If your current build is as same as the original order, we can take a look at your service tag.

Hi Cgrooms

The H740P can be used to replace the HBA330, no changes will be needed to the cabling or backplane as this is standard, just 2 captive screws to undo on the cable connected to the controller and the cable can be removed and the controller is then free to be removed, insert the raid controller and replace the cable, tighten screws and done.

Boot the server, press f2 to enter system services and then enter device settings, you will see the option for H740 raid controller and you can configure your raid from there.
