Raid 1 physical disk removed

Hi, i have 1 hard drive failure in my raid 1 configuration on Dell r730. I made a mistake not hot swapping the bad drive. I shutdwown the server and replace the drive. When i went to F2 device setup-, virtual disk i see that the drive condition was “removed “ and degraded. The new drive in physical disk is showing ready or online.  I made the physicql disk as global hot spare but i dont see the raid1 getting rebuild. What am i missing here. Thanks in advance.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell. Could you try removing the new disk ONLINE and plug it back?

I tried that and still showing as global spare.

Hello do you have a part number for the original one and the new one as well?

We would love to see the "physical disk" part in the RAID controller if you could share, please.

The orignal dell is ST600mp0005. Thr replacement drive is seagate st600mp005.
