R610 with single Power Supply -- How can I make it report "OK" in the idrac
Hey there. Yes, I know the 610 is old and end of life, but I feel like this HAS to be a solved problem, right? We have a 610 with a single PSU. It has a blank installed in the second PSU slot. And under "Power Supplies" in the enterprise idrac, there's a yellow triangle.
I know in other dells (12th gen and above) you can go into the idrac and tell it the power supplies are not redundant and then you'll no longer get that warning with a single one, but there are no options like this in the BIOS, nor in the iDRAC.
Am I missing something obvious?

Hello, I think the PSU is at fault from what I see. Would you be able to get in touch with tech support and let them know of your issue for a possible replacement?

For an R610? That thing is WAY beyond any kind of support that I'm going to be able to get offered.
If you think it's at fault, I could try feeding it another PSU and seeing if that makes it happy, but more modern idracs have a way of configuring the PSU's as redundant or independent, the 610 seems not to.

Hello,
Could you post an image from the DRAC - "Power Supplies" where there's a yellow triangle.
If you go to Power Supplies ; What is shown there?
It may just be the way that DRAC version indicates the PSU slot if it is empty.
Is the DRAC and BIOS up to date?
Is there anything in the DRAC System Event log about power supplies?
If you have another PSU to install you could try that.
