Hello, I defintely recommend that you raise a proper ticket on this.

In the meantime I'm wondering if this could help.

AutoFailOver indicates youre working with sync. Replication or LiveVolume.  You should open a support Ticket. The error msg doesnt help.

If you dont have support revert the replication back to a single volume and than try to setup again.

We have LiveVolumes working since 7-8Y and here the Failover works.

Joerg

Thank you. We have no support, so we'll try to revert

@Origin3k

Found out that this is not a feasible solution for us, as we would like to enable this on existing production LUNs.

which way to look? maybe something with the network or with the controllers?

Thank you

Ensure that your network settings are correctly configured. Misconfigurations can lead to communication issues between the controllers

Verify that both controllers are functioning properly. You can check their status through the Dell Storage Manager or directly on the hardware

@Serge_1980

You can always setup replication and than revert and the Volume stays online and accessable or does you mean because if the amount of data and bandwith between two sites you cant setup it again?

What kind of sync youre using? LiveVolume or sync.Replication?

@DELL-Marco B check all network settings - everything is OK, controllers with no errors. Still have this message...May be restart controllers?

Thats what we have since years.

Is every LV effected? Whats happend if you create a new(small) one?   The Tiebreaker is alive?

Joerg

That doesnt looks like it should.  Both of your Compellent have active alarms. Please take a look and and uncheck hide acknowledge alarms also to see of them.

Here is a screenshot of one of my LV installations.

Is your DSM DC within the same L2 Subnet? Did you already have restart the DSM DC? Do you use the sh*tty Appliance or the Windows version?

You can log into your SCOS and list(remove) the tiebreaker.

Joerg

I assume youre not using a remote DSM DC right?  If you are sure that you have only one DSM DC take a look to  https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/de-de/storage-sc2000/dsm-2020-ag/update-to-the-local-tiebreaker?guid=guid-48f6ffa3-a465-4212-adfd-4aeb951a1b79&lang=en-us
