Poweredge R530 CPU upgrade
Hello,
Could I get a list of CPUs compatible with Dell Poweredge R530. I have read that if you use CPUs which should be compatible like e5-2699v4 server can boot with only one cpu, but not two duet to configuration being unsupported. Could someone share list of cpu's which are compatible?

Hello, thanks for choosing Dell and welcome to our community.
The snapshot is from Dell PowerEdge R530 Field Service Manual. You can download from the website only if you are a registered R530 user.

From what you sent me I see that max tdp of cpu is 120w. Although in another discussion I saw that someone from dell said that e5-2698v4 is listed as compatible cpu and users had no problem with running two of them in one machine, which could not be said about e5-2699v4 or 2697v4, which are 145w tdp processors. Could you confirm that e5-2698v4 is listed as compatible cpu for R530?

Hello, the post you brought up was from a couple of years ago, I'd say we follow the table I posted, since it will be definitely up to date.
