OEM R330 stuck in POST Configuring Memory........ Done
Min Boot - does not clear error.
Remove bios batt, nvram clear jumper, unplug for 5+ mins, hold power button for 10. Min to boot. Post still goes to:
Configuring Memory........ Done
No iDrac VTG32 iDRAC8 module so can't remote into iDrac for testing/attempt bios update/replace. Bios Current version 2.5.0.
Tried swapping mem sticks. No joy. Still stuck same place. Looks like memory is fine as checked in another server.
Have not reseated/replaced CPU, need to get more thermal paste before I do that. No other CPUs that I know will work in it in stock.
Hit more than 2-3 keys while it attempts boot, disables keyboard. In min boot no keyboard.
OEM also stripped down, no status lights front top left, black plastic panel instead.
Front Display says "System Booting" no error codes.
Any ideas would be great.
Normally would:
Config Idrac from front panel.
Connect to iDrac.
run diags/figure out issue.
Since it has no iDrac interface VTG23 module, how do I get to it? Do more diag tests?

Hello Bbrechli,
Was this host working before and now does not?
Was anything done around the time it start having this issue? Hardware changed, added or removed, firmware updated….
Are there any parts that are not original OEM or that are third party?
See if you can connect to the iDRAC direct port:

I see you did testing minimum to post. I just want to post see if this is the configuration you used.
Minimum components to complete POST are:
*System board
*CPU1 with heat sink (minimum for troubleshooting)
*Single DIMM configuration with DIMM in socket A1
*Control panel with cable (to power system on)
*Power supply unit (and Power Distribution Board [PDB]/Power Interposer Board [PIB])
Be sure to remove anything not on the list: hard drives, PERC, backplane, NICs, NIC cables, USB devices, add in cards… anything not on the list. Disconnect anything from the exterior except reconnect power and you can leave video connected to check if you get video.
If it fails to complete POST, the issue is with one of those minimum components.
