Mass update for PowerEdge R920 firmware

Hi All,

Anyone have  an experience do a mass update of PowerEdge R920 firmware?

If have, can guide me how to do it. I'm try to use the DRM to create a bootable ISO but in DRM, it not found the R20 in the list. I also try to using the SUU ISO file but not very sure about the method to mounting the SUU ISO to pendrive since SUU ISO is non bootable ISO.

Please advise me on this matter. Thanks

Hi @zulhadi,

Yes, you're correct. The SUU ISO is not bootable. You may need to use Lifecycle Controller to use the mounted ISO. You will need a mounting software to unload the files onto your USB (FAT32), alternative, if you have iDRAC Enterprise, you can use iDRAC virtual media.

for virtual media, you can put the ISO file on your laptop or desktop through which you are accessing the IDRAC.

Hi @Praveen.Singh ,

Do you mean, i can put the iso in any directory of my laptop (which laptop that I use for access the iDRAC)? And then on virtual media option in lifecycle controller, i just point the location to directory in laptop where i put the ISO file?
