jDell r320 shows 0 W in the front display?

I just purchased a used Dell r320 and everything is fine except that the front display shows 0 W. Furthermore, I can't read the power consumptions in iDRAC on my r720XD and r630 I have a page show power consumption, but not on this machine.

Any idea of why that is?

Thanks

Can you check whether you have a redundant (Hot Plug) or non-redundant (Cabled) power supply unit. Power monitoring is not supported by iDRAC if server having cabled power supply.

Ahh that's why. I have the cabled.

Thanks for the clarification.

By the way, it is possible to change from a cabled to a redundant configuration?

Hi runevn.

As far as I know, we do not have a kit for this modification.

But from a technical point of view, it should be possible, you need some additional parts.

You have to add a Power Distribution Board (0G8CN) + the PDB shroud (9NPW3) and also you need the PSU(s). For example this one: Power Supply, 350 Watts, Redundant (9WR03) or this one: Power Supply, 550W, Redundant (RYMG6).

To have a redundant config we recommend installing two PSU of the same type and wattage.

Depending of the usage of the system you should think about if it is worth it. We do not sell the parts, so you have to check out at resellers. Might be a costly modification.
