Issue with iDRAC7 on R320
Hello,
I have an R320 and wanted to get a separate iDRAC to not use one of the 2 NIC's so I purchased a 02827M which I understand to be an iDRAC7 compatible with the R320.
Upon installing it, it does not seem to be recognised and within OMSA I do not see the normal option to select "dedicated", only "LOM1/2".
Before I return the 02827M I just wanted to check I wasn't doing anything wrong or missed something? Typically any iDRAC cards I have added just "show up".
Thanks in advance.

The only things that come to mind as a suggestion would be to reset the idrac and bios to defaults. note: the idrac will have its network IP set to 192.168.1.120.

Hello,
I'd like to ask you check it from the BIOS
if iDRAC configuration has dedicated port option
The p/n is correct.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

@DELL-Rey G @DELL-Young E thank you for taking the time to respond.
I have tried resetting both.
I have checked the BIOS also, there is no dedicated port option, just same as in OMSA : LOM1 and LOM2.
At this stage I suspect the PCI card I purchased is faulty, any other things I can try?
Thanks.

Hello,
please verify the firmware of the idrac if it is the last one.
Thanks
