Info about R340

Hi, my name is Maurizio, I need to buy my first server for a customer, I need informations about R340 6W0H5, I need other hard disks to make two RAID1 volumes, OS and DATA. In the basic configuration there is 1TB HDD, I thinked to add another 1TB HDD as DATA volume and 2 SSD 480 GB code 400-BJSP as OS volume.
What mean "NPOS" before the description of the SSD?

Is possible to install Windows Server 2019 on these SSDs?
Thanks in advance

Hello mauriziopersi,

Thank you for the update. That may be why I can't find that part number. 400-BJSP is a sales number they can put on quotes. Also I find NPOS is "Near Point of Sale"

I do find one SSD drive to fit your R340. Sales may have others if you contact them:
Part#400-BDPQ   480GB SSD SATA Read Intensive 6Gbps 512e 2.5in Hot Plug S4510 Drive, 1 DWPD,876 TBW, CK  (Customer Kit includes carrier)

If sales quoted you that drive for your R340, then you can take is as validated.

Please let me know if this helps.

Hello mauriziopersi,

I'll be happy to try to assist on your question about the SSD hard drive.

Yes you should be able to install WS2019 on SSD drives.

Can you provide me a link to  "SSD 480 GB code 400-BJSP "?

I do not see that part number,  400-BJSP, coming up on the Dell website.

Did you introduce the drivers for the controller during windows arrangement? choice F6 on inheritance windows OS (2003, XP, 2000, and so on). You will require a floppy with the drivers on it or slipstream the drivers into the establishment picture. The explanation your RAID5 appears without a driver introduce would be on the grounds that the chipset is so old Server 2003 has the drivers as of now or they are slipstreamed into the introduce by your maker. Another note: I really have not utilized a SSD on a more seasoned OS than Windows 7 or Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, I trust it will work fine with the correct drivers however you may have some surprising outcomes on account of the need trim help on 2k3. There might be some similarity issues, only a reasonable admonition. In light of the data you gave me that is my best estimate.

Thanks for the reply but the answer is not in line with my request, I written that my OS is Windows SERVER 2019, no RAID 5 but 1. You write of Windows 7, floppy disk, F6 for drivers... I used these procedures 10 years ago.
