Idrac issue with dell R720
I recently purchased a Dell R720 with an iDRAC issue and have been attempting to recover it.
So far, I have tried:
- Updating the BIOS and iDRAC
- Clearing the NVRAM
- Resetting the BIOS and iDRAC
At one point, the error message disappeared during boot, but it eventually returned. I was able to use RACADM to lower the fan speed, but any changes I attempt to make in the iDRAC setup menu result in an error when saving:
"Saving changes: An error occurred. One or more settings may not be saved."
Any suggestions?
Here’s what I was able to gather using RACADM:

TeeGOD,
I believe the error you are seeing is normally due to the password level, as seen here. I would suggest going through that document and see if that resolves the issue. Let me know what you see and if this helps.
