Have R7525 with 8 NVME + 16 SAS. How to change it to 24 NVME U.2 confuration?

Is there any way to change the storage configurations?  Does Dell provide any official support for it?

Thetaofollowsnature,

While I don't believe it is supported upgrading after the point of sale. Also, without knowing the configuration of the server I can't be 100%, but the basic needed parts would be the nvme backplane (part # NKXVM) and the cables (part # HX04R).

Let me know if this helps.

The motherboard will be the same but depending on the controller installed/used you may need to change for NVMe support. Would you clarify the controller installed?

So the motherboard of my config and 24 NVME are using the same motherboard, and my config doesn't need any other adapter to connect the motherboard and the backplane.

The current installed storage controller is H745 .

Thank you. You may want to consider the BOSS controller, if you are wanting to max out the system with nvme and you plan on making it bootable to an OS.

Yes, it would be the BOSS S1 (part 3JT49) or BOSS S2 (part FRY80) card.

Since I no longer have any SAS disk, can I remove the H745 and replace it with something else?
