ESXi 8.0.0 install error

We have a Dell Power edge R7525. We have performed the following steps.

1. Configured the BIOS

2. Turned off TPM

3. Configured the Lifecycle manager

a. Configured iDrac

b.Configured date and time

c. Configured DNS servers

When installing  ESXi 8.0.0 OS during the checks we get a RIP 553D08E Unknown (xwbrs) 00308E error.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

however we do need to know more about your symptoms in detain regardless. Do you have some screenshots? When does this happen? Is an OS being installed? Or a software?

Mr. Young,

Good morning. No sir, we do not have screenshots. The error occurs during the pre-installation checks. We are loading the ESXi 8 OS on a system I don't have direct access to. We are using the Lifecycle Manager to access the system. The error appears in a big red box in the middle of the screen.

BIOS - 2.10.2

iDRAC - 6.10.20

OS ESXi 8.0

Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.

Hello ken.yedica,

I'm unable to find anything related to that error message.

The LifeCycle Controller and iDRAC are updated in the same update package.

Try updating the iDRAC 6.10.30.20

I would also recommend to use our customized ISO that has our validated drivers included.

This is Dell Customized Image of VMware ESXi 8.0

Is your install media local to the server or is it remote also? You may try to get local to install if it is a network issue.

Thank you all for your time and assistance in this matter. We were able to find a solution. We installed the latest version of ESXi 8.0.1 and that fixed the issue.
