Dual Boot problem Dell R730XD ESXI 6.7 & Windows server
Hello!
I have a Dell R730XD for my homelab with ESXI 6.7 on it. One of the VMs has a Quadro RTX 4000 dedicated and I use it with Keyboard and mouse as my main PC. This has limitations that I cannot use server's full potentials (CPU & RAM) So I also want to install Windows Server 2019 to dualboot with whatever I want. I have a spare SAS SSD for the windows installation already on the server. My problem is whatever I do windows installation doesnt complete. Other times says the EFI id formated to other and wants it in NTFS other times says cannot install on the drive I selected..
Itried to declare the SAS SSD as nonRAid - Bootable and as Virtual disk and on both same issue.
Server has PERC H730 mini RAID controller. Its the Dell R730XD with the 24 x 2,5" bays so to install extra drives for it isnt a problem.
Can anyone assist how to Dual-boot?
Thanks in advance!
