Dell r720xd OS Driver Pack update failed
I have tried to download the OS driver pack many times and it fails, stating
"Critical -> Firware Update -> Update Failed: OS Driver Pack"
I saw on a different post from joblink that it is necessary to go to Repurpose & Retire -> and uninstall everything to default settings, then the OS driver pack upgrade works. This did not work: os driver pack and diagnostic were uninstalled successfully (though cannot get either to install back now), while the BIOS and iDRAC do not go back to default settings. The server seems to reboot before either can complete reverting to default version.
Current BIOS version is 2.9.0 , iDRAC is 2.65.65.65

Can you share the OS Driver pack version which you are trying to upload. Below link have latest OS Driver pack version for R720xd (You can download "Drivers-for-OS-Deployment_Application_3VP5C_WN64_15.07.07_A00.EXE" file and upload it using iDRAC. Also share the steps used to update OS Driver pack. What license you have on iDRAC (Is it express or enterprise)

I just wanted to post that I have solved my issue by using DELL System Update, v.2.0.1.0. This allowed me to successfully install the Dell OS Driver Pack 15.07.07, A00 onto my r720xd. I used a Ubuntu Live usb. I hope this helps.
