Dell PowerEdge Servers constantly cycling power on and off while powered off and plugged in.

I have a stack of Dell PowerEdge servers in my office that I use for a test lab. They constantly power themselves up and down for about 2-3 seconds every few seconds. They do this while they are shutdown and connected to power.

I need to stop this. It is annoying and a waste of power.

Can someone explain - why they do this?

Most importantly - How do I stop this or at least schedule it to happen less often?

Thank you.

S.

Can you share the server models and iDRAC and BIOS FW installed on these servers? This kind of issues can happen if there are power fluctuations in the lab. Can you also check what is the "AC Power Recovery" setting in BIOS under System Security Section.

Hi, as Shine said, did you check this out? "what is the "AC Power Recovery" setting in BIOS under System Security Section" -> This might be the reason.
