Dell C6220 II SAS2008 Mezzanine Card JBOD
I have ordered a SAS2008 Mezzanine Card for Dell C6220 II. This was to replace the LSI 9265-8i, which doesn't support JBOD. And also doesn't support cross-flashing to 2308 IT Mode.
Since SAS2008 Mezzanine supports RAID 0, 1, and JBOD. Would I be able to use JBOD for the disks so that I can use the disks for ZFS? Or does this needs to be in HBA/IT Mode to be able to do that?
I did order some disks which are 520 Bytes, and I need to reformat them to 512 Bytes which can only be done through pass-through disks.

Hello, I couldn't see any ZFS info manual or example. Therefore, I think that IT mode may be needed, but since we do not have any support on this issue, experienced community members can help.

SaS2008 allows jbod by default. As long as the disks are configured as unconfirmed good, it will show up as jbod in the os.
Used windows to do the formatting and was able to format from 520 to 512.

I just bought a used C6220 II for my home lab. This came with LSI 9265 8i. Were you able to use the mezzanine SAS 2008 card and flash it to IT mode for use with ZFS? Are you sure about not able to flash 9265 to IT mode?
