Hi, please check first iDRAC up to date or not. Then you can try to synchronize NTP server.

  • Go to System > Setup > Date and Time and configure the correct date and time settings for your iDRAC6. You can also choose to synchronize the date and time with an NTP server if you have one.
  • Save the changes and reboot the iDRAC6 for them to take effect.
  • Check the iDRAC6 logs again and see if they show the correct date and time.

Hope that helps!

You can sync the date and time with NTP on iDRAC by configuring NTP on iDRAC. By default, iDRAC will sync time with BIOS (until unless NTP is configured on iDRAC). To change BIOS time you need to reboot the server. Once BIOS time is set properly, iDRAC will sync time with BIOS on the next system reboot.

I'm not sure Do you use NTP server or not? but if you have NTP server you need to check network connectivity and correctly configured it.

Other than that, I can suggest if you have downtime for your server you can restart with in operating system or on iDRAC interface such initiate a graceful shutdown and restart. Then via F2 key you can access system setup settings and then BIOS settings:

  1. Reboot the server and press F2 to enter the System Setup menu.
  2. Go to System BIOS Settings > System Date/Time.
  3. Use the arrow keys and Enter key to adjust the date and time as desired.
  4. Press Esc to exit the System Setup menu and save the changes.

Once the BIOS time is set properly, the iDRAC will sync time with BIOS on the next system reboot.

Incorrect timestamps in logs could be caused by hardware issues, such as a faulty system clock or BIOS battery.
