Availability of Windows Server 2025 in PowerEdge servers

What’s new?

Microsoft has announced the next major Operating System, Windows Server 2025 (WS25), launching on November 1, 2024.

To keep pace with this release, the following Wave 1 PowerEdge platforms have been certified with WS25, and drivers will be web posted (RTW) on November 1, 2024. This aligns with Microsoft’s General Availability (GA) launch, giving our customers immediate access to the latest drivers, which can be downloaded from support.dell.com for seamless WS25 operation.

Additionally, these Wave 1 platforms will be listed as WS25 certified on Microsoft’s Hardware Compatibility List webpage on 11/1.

Dell’s WS25 RTS for Wave 1 and all other Wave 2 platforms is scheduled for December FY25. A 911 notification will follow as we approach this official release.

Please ensure customers are informed of the WS25 drivers availability and the December 9th RTS plan for all support PowerEdge platforms.

I saw Windows 2025 within the Online Solution Configurator this morning.
