AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP) Stopping R7525 From Booting
I have a Poweredge R7525 that I suspect has a bad RAM stick (server crashes and reboots while rebooting from exiting the Lifecycle Controller or UEFI and complains about slot B3, a machine check exception on CPU 2 and a whack ton of "OEM diagnostic event occurred"), so I tried swapping the dimm with another one to see if it was indeed the dimm. However, after doing that, the server wouldn't boot. It just hangs on the "please wait while the system is initializing" screen and then after about 10 minutes, I get error PST0258 stating "The AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP) detected a security-related issue while booting the server and paused the server from further booting" in the system event log.
I got around it before by having to take both CPUs out of the server and then putting CPU 2 into socket 1 and booting with just the one. After it successfully came back, I put the missing CPU into socket 2 and decided to run MemTest. However, the server crashed in the middle of it and now I'm back at square one. Is there a way to clear this that doesn't involve having to take the server apart? Powering off the server, restarting it, or unplugging and plugging back in the power cables does not help.
