A problem with Broadcom BCM57414 NetXtreme-E 10Gb/25Gb RDMA Ethernet Controlle
Hello! We have a Dell R640 server with this NIC and a 10 Gb/s Cisco switch. We tried to connect these devices together and eventually ran into a problem. If we choose a maximum speed of 1 Gb/s per port, we will have a stable connection without problems at 1 Gb/s. However, if you select a speed of 25 GB / s in the driver settings (there are no other options), the link will fall. We need to establish a connection at a speed of 10Gb / s, which our switch supports. How can we solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Please try reinstalling the driver and then try to choose 10GB Mode.
For any further issues here is the link to the manual of the network card: https://dell.to/3otqMm0
Did you have any other questions?

Hi please advise the url to download the correct, working driver? I have been trying to install this card on my R740 and R440 server, it can be detected in BIOS but not OS level. No matter how I try it still wouldn't work.

Ethene,
In order to locate the driver file, if there is one, we would need to know the specific OS you have installed. Would you clarify that for us?
Let me know and I can see if I can locate the driver for you.

The driver here should be what you need.
Let me know how it goes and what you see.
