which is best certificate for beginning level in storage?
Hi All myself Rohit new to the community. from Hyderabad, India. I want to do certification in EMC ok. My Goal is to be work on EMC Storage .I am new to Storage field, I do have basic knowledge of networking and Windows and currently working as tech Support Engineer in L1 Monitoring in data center with 3.5 year Experience.
Could you please guide me how to progress/prepare to get EMC certified and to become a Storage Administrator. My interest is in SAN.,. I am getting Confuse in certification pls let me which is best for beginning level .Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Dear Rohit, You can go for EMC associate level certificate which is Information Storage Management (ISM). In this exam you will get basic knowledge of the storage industry. You can find this exam on Powerlink EMC education.

Based on your comments sounds like you would want to look at the exam descriptions, recommended study materials and exams for the following -
The majority of the EMC Proven Professional Programs start with Information Storage and Management studies. This is an associate level training which can be followed up with the proctored certification exam (Information Storage and Management exam E20-001).
Once you have passed this exam (E20-001) and earned your EMCISA you would then move onto the Storage Administrator Storage Area network (SAN) studies followed up with the proctored Specialist certification exam (Storage Area Network (SAN) Specialist Exam for Storage Administrators E20-532).
Using the instructions below (for customers) you can access the exam description documents for each of the areas noted above. Once you do please come back to this link and let us know if the exam description and listed study materials were helpful.
Log into the Education Portal (http://education.emc.com)
Click on EMC Proven Professional Certification
Select Certification
Select Certification Framework
Click on the Track you are pursuing (i.e. Associate or Storage Administrator)
Under the Specialist column click on the word Details next to the exam you want
Under Attachments click on the exam number/title
