Which certification is Good

Hi,

I have around 5 years of experience in EMC storage arrays, VMAX, VNX , VNXe and I have done ISM V2 E10-001 certification. I am looking a certification in architect level so that I can move into designing part. I am searching a certificate in architect level and got to know that EMC provide two types of architect level certification :- 1:- EMC DCA (Data Center Architect) and 2:- Technology Architect.

I am in dilemma since long time. Can anyone suggest me which certification is good in terms of future growth/salary and more importantly career in the designing.

If you're just architecting VNX/VMAX products, I would pursue the EMCTA tracks for both product lines.  I had 3 years of experience with VNX before I studied for the TA, and it was a tremendous help.  Then I would fold in the more general (not product specific) certifications (DCA, CCA).

IMO, a good architect has to have a good deal of knowledge from the application down to its supporting infrastructure.  I would start with what you specialize in (EMCTA for VNX and VMAX), then move up the stack from designing the storage fabric, host design, application integration, etc.
