I understand how difficult it is right now to get funding for training and certification.  However, preparing for a Specialist level exam, particularly the Storage Technologist track, requires both education and experience.  You can go to our Education Portal for a full exam description and access to a free practice test

http://education.emc.com/cust/certification/framework/default.aspx.  We recommend taking the practice exam once, reviewing the items you missed, and focusing additional learning there.  Please note - passing the practice test isn't a guarantee that you'll pass the exam, but it gives you an indicator of any knowledge gaps.

These will help you to understand what is on the certification exam, and what you might need to spend time learning.

Please be careful about shortcutting the exam prep process and using "study materials" or "practice tests" available from sites like TestInside, TestKing etc.   Many of these sites are selling down level and/or inaccurate copies of the actual exam questions.  EMC is very serious about protecting the integrity of the EMC Proven Professional credential - to your benefit as well as all certified individuals.  We perform detailed analysis of allexam results and will revoke test results if they indicate that the candidate has had prior access to the exam questions.

In addition, please be careful when offering help to other exam takers.  While studying together is helpful you should not communicate any questions you "remember" about the exam to others.  This is also considered a violation of our exam security policies.  Attached here are our Exam Security Policies for your review.

This certifications proves proficiency of individual only, it doesn't gurantee any job in storage domain. But, definitely, it acts as a hot cake when you appear any interview in storage.
