PowerEdge XE8545 - NVIDIA A100 GPUs to Slots

I'm not sure this is a valid question seeing as how the below says if damaged the entire baseboard with 4 x GPUs must be replaced as it's stocked as a single unit?

Even the Field Engineer Service Manual only shows the A100 board being removed not the individual GPUs.

I'm not sure where the front/rear designation originates from for the A100 baseboard? If it's in relation to the server as viewed from the bezel, then surely GPUs 1 & 2 are 'front' whilst GPUs 3 & 4 are 'rear'?
