Hi Pankhuri - sorry its taken us so long to get to your questions. I moved it to the Proven Advisor section of the community so our experts see this. -Gina

Thanks Kristy .This certainly is the best way to start, prepare. What I am concerned about is that if there could any topic not covered in Javadocs and DFC Development Guide and what other documents or areas I need to refer for this exam. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Pankhuri

Hi Pankhuri,

I recommend that you read (or reread) the Documentum Foundation Classes Development Guide. Then take the practice exam that can be found in the certification area of http://mylearn.emc.com. The practice exam is an excellent gauge of your readiness. By taking the practice exam, you may find that there are some areas that are less familiar to you than others. For example, perhaps you have not had a chance to work with virtual documents or lifecycles. Or perhaps you haven't used Aspects. You should then brush up on these areas. A good way to do so, would be to write some sample DFC code using the unfamiliar APIs. Use the DFC javadocs as needed to become more familiar with areas that you have less experience in as well.

I wish you the best!

Kristy

Hi Pankhuri. There is a set list of topics that are covered in the Content Management Server Programming certification exam. I encourage you to visit the page dedicated to that exam at http://mylearn.emc.com/portals/home/mL.cfm?actionID=376. You can then click on the Exam Description link on the right side of the page. That will open up a document that includes each exam topic that is covered. Also provided in that document is recommended training for the exam. I hope this helps. Good luck!

If you take the course, you will have the course materials. There is also product documentation that should be available through the product that you can use.
