Meet EMC's First Dual Certification Holder in the Data Center Architect Track : Todd Toles

Todd Toles is an Advisory Account Technical Consultant here at EMC and is based in the Chicago, Illinois area.  He has been with EMC around four years and has worked in pre-sales storage positions for eight additional years.  As a pre-sales ATC, Todd is responsible for designing and architecting EMC solutions across our wide variety of products. Additionally, he serves locally as a Symmetrix, Connectivity, and Performance specialist. In addition to being EMC’s first dual Data Center Architect (Storage Networking Design and Information Availability Design), Todd is a quadruple EMC Proven Expert (Symmetrix BC, CLARiiON, Storage and Information Infrastructure, and NAS) and holds six Specialist-level certifications.  He has also served as a field reviewer for seven exams in the last year; if you’ve taken an exam for a core storage product; Todd’s probably reviewed at least some of the questions.

In addition to these EMC credentials, he also holds Cisco CCNP, CCDA, and DCNID certifications and is a VMWare VCP3 and a VCP4. Over the next couple of months he plans on sitting for the DCA Storage Security Specialist and Cloud Architect exams.

Why has Todd chosen to pursue EMC’s newest cloud computing certifications? As he suggests, “In the pre-sales role (and for customers in the architect role) it is vitally important to understand things at a holistic level rather than a stovepipe level (VMware, servers, networks, storage, and security). The DCA credential is the first step in retooling the pre-sales, post-sales, and customer community to think and act holistically.”
