Meet EMC Proven Professional and eServices Team Member: Rupal Rajwar

For the past 5 years, Rupal has been one of the voices on the other end of the support line for users of EMC technology.  Shortly after earning her Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering in 2007, Rupal went to work for EMC supporting the CLARiiON, Centera and Celerra product lines. More recently, she has taken on support of the VNX product line.

The eServices team provides fast access to EMC technical expertise and product- and service-related information; putting users in control, with answers to technical questions and quick help to address product or performance issues

As an eServices Technical Support Engineer, Rupal has worked with EMC customers to troubleshoot issues on Storage Pool and LUN creation, LUN to host assignments, LUN expansion and migration, File system creation, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, and NFS protocols, VNX data compression, VNX FAST and FAST Cache concepts, PowerPath/VE and VSI management plug-in. 

One of the key factors to Rupal’s success as a Support Engineer is her desire to remain on the forefront of storage technologies.  In addition to holding EMC’s Information Storage Associate and an Implementation Engineer, CLARiiON Solutions Specialist certification, she has earned the IE, VNX Solutions Specialist certification.   Knowing that certification is great way to document one’s knowledge, Rupal has plans to pursue VNX Expert, Cloud Computing and Big Data certifications.

Rupal has found the eServices team to be a great career experience; finding that “It is a kind of Communication channel where, as soon as you login you do not know what is coming next. Sometimes a case can be resolved in minutes and sometimes there are scenarios of prolonged WEBEX sessions and collaboration calls.”
