In my opinion ISM is the starting .This is good for you to understand the fundas .After ISM it is better for you to go for some specialisation.Like EMC netwoker

Information Storage and Management Associate level certification is the best way to begin.  The course /material introduces all concepts of storage management and provides a solid foundation of concepts that you can use in many settings, and also as the basis for your selection of a specialty area.

Here is a link where you can find the course description, exam description, and a free practice test.  We suggest that folks who are new to storage take the ISM course, which is available in a number of media, then try the practice test.  Your results on the practice test don't guarantee that you will pass the ISM exam, but they will point you to areas where you may want to study more.

The exam description is also an excellent tool to test your knowledge.  Look over every line item, and assess your ability to fully explain the concept.

online course maetrial from EMC corporation for this exam. I have got 4 pdfs

and online material as well..

I will start studying those.. hope that will be enough to give exam.. i
