Important Program Update: Mainframe Business Continuity Exams
On March 5, 2010, the EMC Proven Professional Program will replace the exams supporting the Product/Technology Specific certification, Mainframe Business Continuity.
Exams to be retired:
E22-201 Mainframe Business Continuity Local Replication
E22-211 Mainframe Business Continuity Remote Replication
Replacement exam to be introduced:
E22-220 Symmetrix Mainframe Business Continuity
The new E22-220 exam will be the single qualifying exam to achieve the new Product/Technology Specific certification, Symmetrix Mainframe Business Continuity, and will be supported by a new curriculum which includes Symmetrix V-Max features.
How will this affect your current and future certification plans?
If you have passed the E22-201 and E22-211 exams, the retirement of these exams will not affect the validity of your Mainframe Business Continuity certification. You are not required to take the new E22-220 exam to maintain your certification.
If you have passed the either the E22-201 or the E22-211 exam, you should plan to take and pass the corresponding exam prior to March 5, 2010 to achieve a Mainframe Business Continuity certification.
If you have not taken or passed the E22-201 and E22-211 exams and wish to achieve a Mainframe Business Continuity certification, you should plan to take and pass both the E22-201 and E22-211 exam prior to March 5, 2010.
If you have not taken or passed the E22-201 and E22-211 exams and wish to achieve the new Symmetrix Mainframe Business Continuity certification, you should plan to take the E22-220 exam after March 5, 2010.
