EMC Proven TA certifications are listed on Foote Partner's top 10 IT certs list
Alok talked about this when the study first came out (and linked directly to the study).
If you want the highlights, check out this slide show, the TA cert is on slide 6.
How many of you have your TA? Is anyone working towards it? Do you have any of the other certifications on the list?

Thanks Gina. Did you note that there are 3 security related and 2 information storage related certifications in the Top 5? It is also interesting to see the premium percentage change in Q4-08 which was a tough quarter by all means. Does it mean that Security and Information Storage (along with others in top 10like Telephony) will be continue to attract IT investment?

Alok those are interesting questions!
If I really step back and think about what sort of things those certifications set out to prove (e.g. proficiency in security and designing IT architectures), and then look at the increasing values of those skills, it certainly seems like organizations are looking for people to manage the impending digital information explosion.
And that makes sense to me based on what I am reading about virtualization and "the cloud". All of that virtual infrastructure still ties back to something physical. I would think you need people who really understand how to design & manage the physical infrastructure that supports that virtualization effort.
I went back and looked at the increase for the TA cert. Nice to know I've got in-demand skills!! (I have my SAN TA).
