EMC Proven Professional Program Awards 10,000th ISM Certification

EMC’s Proven Professional Program achieved a major milestone this year, with Rayana Shetty from Tata Consulting Services (TCS) in Bangalore, India, recently earning the 10,000th Information Storage and Management (ISM) Certification.

G Somasundaram, Director of EMC Education Services, says, “As the recipient of our 10,000th ISM certification, Rayana Shetty of the Tata Consulting Services organization has achieved an important milestone for her and for EMC. I congratulate her on her achievement and welcome her to the EMC Proven Professional community—the premier certification program in the information storage and management industry.”

Information Storage and Management (ISM) certification is an industry-leading “open” storage technology exam that evaluates IT professionals on their knowledge of topics ranging from storage networking to storage virtualization to information security. Professionals who successfully pass the ISM exam receive the EMC Proven Professional Associate-level certification, which enables them to make informed decisions in an increasingly complex IT environment and choose the right storage technology for their business.

This unique open certification focuses on concepts and principles of storage technology rather than on specific products. IT professionals who would like to become certified can prepare themselves by attending ISM training offered by EMC, its learning partners, or through self-study using the ISM book, which is available in local bookstores.

More than 10,000 people have obtained ISM certification worldwide. Approximately 2,000 of those Proven Professionals are located in India.
