EMC Exam Security and Practice Exams

I’ve been asked this question a couple of times, hence the post….


Be real careful which practice exams you use.  The companies that provide practice exams may look legitimate, but they operate from around the world, have dozens of sub-companies and websites which are registered to false addresses, and the EMC exam questions they provide are stolen. 
By using these practice exams, you not only de-value what we’ve all worked so hard for….you also risk losing your entire EMC certification status. The only practice exams you should use are on the EMC Powerlink site.


Practice exams form an important part of studying for your EMC exams,and can really help you learn and prepare.


My collegues and I do think the EMC practice exams can be improved, and I’d like to know how you all feel ?   

Maybe you’re perfectly happy with the EMC practice exams on Powerlink, or perhaps you’ve some good suggestions on how to make them better ?"

Hello All, I also feel that the practice exams on powerlink were not great when I was studying for a Clariion exam. I had been informed that if you used practice tests from any other source other than EMC that your exam/qualification could be invalid so although I could see lots of companies offering these I stayed well way - I noticed that these web sites do not give you a warning that you cannot use these tests to practice for a EMC qualification - Saying that I have never seen the bit on powerlink warning about using them (I only found out by word of mouth). I feel that there should be more offered to aid people in practicing for exams - for example if you want to do a Microsoft MCP there are lots of books on the market (i.e. Exam cram series) that offer training sections followed by practice questions. Perhaps I have not found the place on powerlink where there is a good 50+ question practice exam - if there is one can you point me in the right direction to find it. I am currently studying Celerra and again don’t really find the amount of practice areas on powerlink great. Does anyone else have any thought on this????

Hello Neale - is this where you end up when you are accessing the practice test?

  • For information on the EMC Proven Professional Program: for practice test, exam descriptions and recommended study materials.
  • Log into the Education Portal  (http://education.emc.com)
  • Click on EMC Proven Professional Certification
  • Select CertificationSelect Certification Framework
  • Click on the Track you are pursuing (i.e. Implementation Engineer)
  • Click on the Specialty you wish to pursue within the track (i.e.CLARiiON Solutions, Symmetrix BC)
  • Upper right corner of screen Click on the exam you are interested in (Associate, Specialist Expert)
  • Upper left side of PDF click on practice test.
