E20-591 Latest Study Material
Hi,
I purchased the BRS-TA VILT in July 2011 and only got to takethe 591 exam couple of weeks back. To my surprise, a good few questions were not covered in the VILT or the study material. I had questions on Avamar Gen4 systems whereas the material only covers up to Gen3. There were other such questions as well (atleast 10%) of the total. I have also learnt that EDL is no longer a requirement for the Exam. In the end i got 65% when 67% was needed.
I am retaking the exam shortly and would like to know if new or updated material is available anywhere.
Thanks,
J Ahmad

Hi,
Edservices were very helpful and sent me the updated VILT. Took the exam few days back and passed with a decent score!
Thanks,
Jamal

Hello,
I’m sorry to hear you only missed passing by 2%! The Backup Recovery Solutions Exam for Technology Architects (E20-591) was updated on October 14, 2011 and the training materials you purchased in July support the prior version of the exam. The training materials have since been updated to support the current exam.
We encourage everyone to review the exam description before scheduling or rescheduling an exam to ensure the correct version of course materials are being used. The exam description also provides information on the products and topics likely to be covered on the current exam. Exam updates are also posted in the EMC Proven Professional community in this document.
For additional help and information, please contact EdServices@EMC.com.
Best wishes,
Jill

Thanks for your response Jill.
Now this is quite frustrating because I checked the status of the VILT before booking my test through this link:
https://education.emc.com/content/_common/support/faq_vilt_table.htm
According to this, the VILT that I have is still valid.
I've asked EDServices for help. Lets wait and see!
Thanks,
Jamal
