E20-465 exam

Hi,
I am planning to take E20-465 exam. I took Advanced System Administration class beginning of 2008 and I think it was based on D6. Is the exam based on D6 or D6.5?

Besides the training is there any other material available outside to prepare for this exam. I just have 9 days to prepare (that includes my 9 to 6 job) for this exam so I need to prepare intelligently going through whole System Administration manual won't be feasible for me.

So far, I am planning to go through the following material/self-paced trainings from now till May 22nd.
1) Technical Fundamentals of Documentum 6 (self-paced) - @24 hrs
2) Advanced System Administration training material (from in-class training) - @ 24 hrs
3) Delta Training D6 System Administration I @ 4Hrs
4) Delta Training D6 System Administration II @ 4Hrs
5) Delta Training 6.5 Administration @ 1.5 hrs
6) Composer fundamentals @ 3 hrs

Does anyone have any other recommendation, do I need anything else? Do I need to drop anything from here?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Aarthi,

Thanks for your response. Per your response I will not go through Composer training. Here is what I intend to study now.

1) Technical Fundamentals of Documentum 6 (self-paced) - @24 hrs (completed Module 1 to 11)
2) Advanced System Administration training material (books) - @ 16 hrs
3) Delta Training D6 System Administration I @ 4Hrs
4) Delta Training D6 System Administration II @ 4Hrs
5) Delta Training 6.5 Administration @ 1.5 hrs
6) High Volume server administration @2 Hrs
7) Full-Text Administration with FAST @6 Hrs

I am not quite sure which tech pubs you are referring to?

Thanks,

Ankit

Hello,

If you took System Administration-Advanced at the beginning of 2008, then it was most likely on D6. To learn the new features for 6.5, minimally you would need to take the Delta Training: 6.5 System Administration. All the other self-paced courses (with the exception of Composer) are also relevant to the exam. There is no detailed coverage of Composer in the System Administration exam.

The best way to prepare is to read the exam description and at a minimum, review tech pubs or training topics relevant to the exam topis. A practice test is also available which may help you identify gaps in your preparation. Links to the exam description and practice test are available at http://mylearn.emc.com/portals/home/mL.cfm?actionID=375. Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, administering, and trouleshooting Documentum Content Server is also recommended.

Good luck!
