Hello –
Yes, the Information Storage and Management (ISM) v2 course has been released. ISM v2 is aligned to EMC Information Storage Associate (EMCISA) certification and supports the new E10-001 Information Storage and Management Version 2 Exam (to be available in late May 2012).
ISM v2 training and certification is designed to increase the scope of your IT skills transformation and get you up-to-date with the latest emerging technologies. It captures all the key concepts of our popular ISM ‘open’ course and further builds on it to include virtualization and cloud computing.
If you have already begun studying for the E20-001, you may wish to continue with that course. If you have not yet begun, you might consider studying for and taking the E10-001. The E10-001 exam description is forthcoming and will be posted here.
If you have additional questions please contact EdServices@emc.com.
Good luck!!

Hello -
Welcome to the EMC Proven Professional community! The EMC Proven Professional certification program is designed as a role based program because we view certification as representation of readiness to perform a role. A role based program takes into account a number of factors that are unique to a specific role. Within each role, it is possible to build upon previously earned certifications by moving through our Associate, Specialist and Expert certifications. Where to begin depends, to a degree, on the role you are interested in pursuing.
For details regarding the Associate level certifications EMC offers (including our Cloud Associate!) click here. You can also find more information regarding the certifications EMC offers by role on this page under "Certification Framework".
You had mentioned an interest in our cloud certifications on another post. That information can be found on the Certification Framework by scrolling down to the Cloud Architect track. Clicking on a Specialty Name will open a page providing details on the course curriculum. You may also view details regarding the associated exam and practice test via a separate link at the top of the page.
Please let us know if you have further questions. And keep us updated on your progress!

Hello Masud, the exam description document (found here) for the E10-001 exam provides some great information on what is covered on the exam, the recommended curriculum as well as a link to the online practice test.
Many members of our community have mentioned that the Information Storage and Management (ISM) book was an excellent resource while studying for this exam. You can find their comments here and here. While these posts are in response to the first ISM book, the advice is relevant to the new book as well.
The Information Storage and Management (ISM) v2 book can be purchased on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Wiley Publishing and Wiley-India by clicking here. The ISMv2 book is also available for Kindle on Amazon.
Be sure to also view our Starter Kit promotion. Each Starter Kit contains one Video Instructor-Led Training (VILT) title ($1,200 value) & one EMC Proven Professional Exam Voucher ($200 value) – 57% discount!
Good luck on the exam, Masud! ...and keep us posted on your progress!

Hi debi,
I am ram a storage and unix administrator in denver. Planning to study for the ISM v2. I have the VILT for ism v2 dated 04.23.12 in DVD format. I was wondering if the VILT alone would be enough to take the exam or if the ISM v2 book is also needed.

@rs2405 - determining whether the VILT alone will be sufficient to prepare for the E10-001 exam is dependent upon many factors including your past work experience. Taking the practice test is a great way to gauge your readiness for an exam. The practice test can be launched from the exam description document found here.

The EMC Proven Professional Certification Framework is role-based, meaning that learning paths correspond to a particular role, such as Cloud Architect or Storage Administrator. You can find the full framework here: EMC Proven Professional Certification Framework.
VMware offers its own certification program, which is separate from the EMC Proven Professional Program. You can find information about VMware courses offered by EMC here: VMware Courses from EMC. For details about the VMware certification program, visit this page: VMware Certification Roadmap.
Because the certification programs are separate, the EMCISA certification is not a starting point for a VMware certification.
