Documents for Certification

Hello All,

I have just completed the Content Management Foundations (E20-120) and looking to start preparing for the next exam.

I am thinking about start preparing for E20-405: Content Management Server Programming or E20-455: Content Management Web Application Programming.

But I don't have any hands on experience neither in DFC nor in WDK.

Can you please suggest what are the documents I sould be referring to, inorder to clear the exam?

Thanks.

Hello Mathan, first let me welcome you to the EMC Proven  Professional community!

Regarding your question, we have practice exams for both the 405 and 455.  You said that you had no experience, but the practice tests might be a good place to start....maybe you've picked up some knowledge along the way!

Also, on those pages, you'll notice that we offer instructor-led classes and eLearning courses that prepare you for certification.  If traveling or scheduling is an issue, our LIVE classes let you learn from your own home or office.

Please let me know if this information helps.

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for your feedback.

Actually I have been working in Dctm for the past couple of years and I studied Content Server Fundamentals to clear the CMF exam.

But my role has nothing to do with DFC or WDK since it is an Operational role rather than a Development one.

So as I have got Content Server Fundamentals, do we have any PDFs or any materials through which I can prepare for the exam?

Hello,

If your role has nothing to do with DFC or WDK, I would urge you to keep in mind that the knowledge and skills tested require extensive hands-on experience developing Documentum applications using these APIs. This is also why attending the Fundamentals and Advanced training in DFC or WDK is highly recommended as a way to prepare for the 405 and 455. To see a role-based training curriculum map, please visit http://mylearn.emc.com/portals/home/mL.cfm?actionID=29&lp=ecm . As Michelle mentioned, classroom and live-online options are available.

If you need the DFC and WDK documentation, you may download the PDFs from Powerlink.

Thanks and Good luck.

Hi Mathan,

Since your role more operational, I suggest you look into the Sys Admin certification:
