D-PDC-DY-23 - Part 2: Simulation score 33% after 2 attempts

To the dear Community Manager and the respected Dell employees here at the Proven Professional Certification Program.

I have created this thread on this forum since I think it can be more engaging and provide me with better support and feedback.

I took this exam (D-PDC-DY-23) first time on 1/24/2024. I have scored 80% on Part 1 and failed the Part 2 with 33%. That first time I was not able to finish all simulations in Part 2 and I just completed 2 or maybe 3 of the 6 simulations so we could think the score was "fair" based on my performance.

I did re-take the exam last night, after spending the last 7 days studying/practicing and I got these results: Part 1 83% and Part 2 33%. This is not logical for me given that I am 100% positive I answered correctly on at least 4 of the 6 simulations which would grant me a (100%6=16.66, 16.66x4=~67%) score, just enough to pass the exam. I remember perfectly the subject of those 6 simulations, and I can say with all certainty that my answers were correct and submitted properly on my end. All 6 simulations were different on both attempts, the simulations from last night I was very confident with so that's the reason why I open this thread.

I have noticed the "Part 2 score issue" on some other threads, so I am assuming this is an issue with some PearsonVue "configuration capturer" that captures the final config and output in each simulation.

I am open to discuss this in private to review my results/answers hopefully rectify my results.

In case you need my Dell ID from my CertTracker, just let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Community Manager

Hello Raulanf, I just took the D-PDC-DY-23 exam on 2/1/2024 and wondered the same thing, as I scored a 17%, even after knowing I answered most of the questions correctly.  30 minutes to answer 6 simulation questions is also unrealistic, as these sims take quite a bit of prep work just to even get started answering the question.

@JB_WeaverTech hey there!

Yeah, besides of being a reaaaally difficult for giving just 38min to complete 6 simulations, there should be something wrong with those simulations since I am 100% positive about my answers being correct and properly submitted during the simulations and it just gave me 33% on both attempts.

I also failed the exam, and so did several of my colleagues,Some simulations have system bugs and
Some exam questions are not clear enough,I strongly recommend that certification teams rigorously review exam questions and check whether the simulations are good enough

I've tried 2 times to pass this exam and is really unrealistic how even if I pass the questions... the simulations I just get 50% even if I perform the whole activity and corroborated that was right and still failed.

This exam is $4600 mexican pesos is so expensive as almos $10k were spent on this 2 attempts and still as 30 minutes for 6 simulations is very unfair and unrealistic.

Hello. Good afternoon. I recently took this exam. the theorist approves it without problems. However, the 2 part  failed it, but I am sure that my answers were correct.

I would like you to review my case. Of all the reviews I have done of Dell, this is the first time this has happened. I also think there is a problem in the labs.
