Can we do specialist level certified without an associate level?

Hi,

Am working in Tata consultancy services as System Engineer , for the past 3 year i am working in Legato Networker, recently we have updated to Networker 7.6, i am planning to Certification, i have knowledge of SAN,NAS, Networker,Clarion,Avamar. i have also worked in all those environments. i see that all theses topics getting covered in E20-597 exam, so my question is ... IS  that ok if i take an specialist exam without doing an Associate level exam?? or is that any condition we have to go only in order like first associate and next specialist?

Hello, and welcome to our community!

The short answer is that you can take your exams in any sequence, but you will not achieve your Specialist Certification unless you also have passed the Associate level exam.

At the Associate level, we cover a broad range of topics in the Information Storage and Mangement area including NAS, IP SAN, Storage Virtualization, Remote Replication and much more.  This breadth of knowledge is the foundation for any Specialist level course.

Here's a link to our list of exams, exam descriptions, and free practice exams.

Although it's preferable to start with the Associate level, you can complete exams in any order you like.

Please let me know if I've answered your question.
