ASN Partner Needs filled by EMCIE on NAS (E20-361)

Hello,

My question is best described as as a concatenated inquiry. Here it goes:

I work with an EMC Partner wishing to sell and implement the Celerra family of products. According to this page:

https://education.emc.com:443/part/certification/framework/ie/nas.aspx

A single path for the implementation engineer is needed, that is: E20-001 -> E20-361 .

This being said, my questions are thus:

  • Being an EMCPA, is the passing exam all that is needed? Rephrasing: is it true that taking any further training/course is not perforce but just strongly recommended?
  • If further training is mandated:

On the same url hereinbefore, there we find a Value Pack such as one of the courses is an Instructor Led Training (NAS Operations and Management with Celerra, ID: MR-1CP-NSCA).

  • Is there a Value Pack but with the instructor led training substituted with the instructor led video one (ID : MR-9VP-NSCA)?
  • If the answer to this question is "no" but a training is mandatory, may one buy and study the Video instructor led training (aka MR-9VP-NSCA) and comply fully?

Thanks for bearing with me. Thanks in advance.

Hello Philip,

I'm researching the issue with my Manager but the information she's got seems somewhat outdated and she contacted an internal help desk as well. I posted the question in the hopes I could be of some help.

I will relay her this information.

Thank you, I appreciate the guidance.

Luis
