What non-EMC tools can be used for ProSphere troubleshooting and log collection?
Hi All,
The following sections list some non-EMC tools that can be used for ProSphere troubleshooting and log collection.
Please feel free to add any tools you may use or find usefull to this post discussion. (Review emc277445 for 3rd party tools used by support in relation to ProSphere. This list will be updated as other tools become usefull)
REST Clients
- FireFox Addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/restclient/ get HTTP requests directly from the ProSphere's REST API
- Chrome Addon: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fhjcajmcbmldlhcimfajhfbgofnpcjmb get HTTP requests directly from the ProSphere's REST API
CIMOM Tools
- CimNavigator: http://cimnavigator.com/ is a graphical browser tool written in Java that can be used to manipulate CIM objects hosted on CIMOMs on remote or local computers.
Terminal Emulator
- PuTTY: http://www.putty.org/ can be used to SSH into the ProSphere appliance or a UNIX/Linux server that is being discovered
FTP Clients
- WinSCP: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php can be used to transfer files to and from the ProSphere appliance.
- FileZilla: http://filezilla-project.org/ can be used to transfer files to and from the ProSphere appliance.
WMI Diagnostic Tool
- WMIDiag: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?familyId=d7ba3cd6-18d1-4d05-b11e-4c64192ae97d&displayLang=en a useful utility to help diagnose WMI issues.
LDAP Browser
JXplorer: http://jxplorer.org/downloads/index.html a standards compliant general purpose LDAP browser that can be used to read and search any ldap directory
