Discovering Windows host
Hi All,
I appear to be having a few issues discovering Windows host. I have tried both WMI and WS-MAN credentials but i seem to be getting the same results and I can't find an explanation.
Both jobs say Completed-UNKNOWN in the status but in the log window at the bottom it says Running and does not seem to change. I have rebooted the Vapp in VCenter and its still the same.
I am new to Prosphere and can find a log to give me an answer as to the exact error but I could well be looking in the wrong place.
Any suggestions appreciated
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
The /opt/DMT/local/logs/host1.log on the Discovery VM would be a good starting point in terms of investigation of the issue.

Hi Seamus,
Thank you for the starting point. I have found what I think is the correct log through the GUI but I am afraid that for some reason there are no entries for the time that I started the discoveries.
Are there any other logs that I can check?
Thanks
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
You can also run the ProSphere Host Configuration Utility in order to see if it reports any issues for the hosts in question. It is available to download from Powerlink under:
Support > Software Downloads and Licensing > Downloads P-R > ProSphere
