Where can I get a "power supply board" for a 2300mp?
I'm an independent PC tech and got one of these from a customer who had never even turned it on. I fired it up and it ran for 30 minutes then failed with a loud "pop". Since it is out of warranty, I opened it up and quickly discovered that the board assembly that receives AC power is toast(blackened parts, etc.). Where can I get replacement parts for this projector?
Thanks!

I have the same issue. The power supply from my unit is from Quasarpower. The component number appears to be QP-4274 Rev. 1.
Any help in identifying a source would be helpful. Thanks

A lot of people seem to be having problems with these projectors. I understand Dell has discontinued them and they have offered no solutions in these forums. There are a couple other threads in the forum. Personally, I think they should replace the defective projectors. Maybe they have so many customers they don't mind having a few of us upset, but that's not a good business model.

I gave in and had mine fixed by TSC. Cost was a bit over $300.00. Here is the contact info.

What did you have fixed? No one seems to know what the problem is with these 2300's although they consistently fail in the same way.
Thanks,
Bill

I originally thought I had a bulb problem, but then after replacing the bulb on my 2300mp at a whopping cost of $350 I realized that I didn't have any power to the projector at all. The only mention of a popping sounds in the owner's manual describes a bulb burning out, so I assumed that was my problem. Now I'm $1450 in the hole and still don't have a working projector.
The projector is out of warranty now, this happened just over the year point with only about 200 hours of use. I would really like to have this one fixed because my home theater set up was based on this projector, but if I have to buy a new one it definitely won't be a dell.

Nobody knows now where it's possible to buy this switching power supply QP-4274 or another equivalent module? May be someone has the schematic of this alimentation?
