what is the USB port on a projector for?
STUPID QUESTION TIME
My Dell 2400Mp projector has a USB port on the back. What is it for?
I know it is not a video input as that does not show up on the menu options?
It is not mentioned in the manuel and it shows when connecting the projector to a computer that it is also connected.
I thought it might be a connection to a computer that would help the computer remotely control the projector, but when pluged into the computer it is recognized as a Human Interface Device, but no interface can be found to control the projector.
I searched for a driver on the site that I might use to install the interface on a computer ad found no software for the projector at all.
I would love to be able to control at least the off and on of the projector with a hard wire since the projector is on the ceiling and I have to walk into the middle of the room to use the remote control.
Can any one tell me what the USB port it on the projector for????

Hi Preacher,
The USB cable has to be connected to the computer to use the ‘Next Page’ and ‘Previous Page’ features on the remote control. Also, using the ‘Page Up’ and ‘Page Down’ keys on the remote, you will be able to navigate to the next and previous pages of a document.
