RS232 Control of MP2400.

I have 3 MP2400 Dell projectors that I am trying to control via RS-232. With a Crestron system, specifically. I have the list of command codes, but I'm not sure I understand the formatting of them. I tried just using them a direct copy/paste from the list, but it didn't work. The example code that is given with the list isnt very informative and cannot help me. Can anyone who has had any success perhaps give me an example of how exactly to format these codes so that they work? I only need to do Power On, Power Off, RGB1, and Composite soure selections... but I can't make any of them work on my own. I tried calling Dell tech support but they didn't even know what RS-232 was.

Chris, I appreciate the help, but neither of those have the information that I am looking for. I have the list of command codes... but they require a certain format/entry method to be understood by the projector and that is what I am looking for. Everywhere on the internet that I have looked for this information, everyone says the same thing: the RS232 documentation that is available for Dell projectors is very sparse and not very helpful.
