Projector says to 'clean filter'

Question

I have a Dell 1201mp projector and am now getting the error message to 'clean filter'.  I guess this is self explanatory enough, but with that being said is there a specific way to get to the filter and clean it?  I didnt see anything in the manual about this error message and i didnt see anything in the FAQ's about this either.  Any info about this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry it took so long to address this but I was waiting for confirmation from our engineers. Our projectors should not be displaying a message about cleaning the filter. Could you post a picture of the error message.

I have the 1201MP model projectors as well as some of the 1100MPs. The filter/grill in the back of the 1100MP was choked with dust so I vaccuumed that out through the air vents with a 'computer' style vac. Is there a recommended way to clean the dust out of these projectors?

The projector is not here, it is in one of our schools so I cant post the error at this time. Also, I havent physically looked at the projector. I was told it was a Dell projector, which most of the ones we use in the school system are (there are a few Box-Lites out there) so that is what I was going on.

Ill check it next time I get a chance.
