Projector M3400 - Is it compatible with Vista

Have a Dell Projector M3400 that I cannot work with a new Sony Vaio laptop (Windows Vista).  So far tech support from both Dell & Sony haven't helped.  Yesterday Dell said the projector wouldn't work with Sony.  Sony said it was a Vista problem.  Today Dell said it is compatible with both Sony & Vista - and that I should contact supportdell.com.  Help! Does anyone know if it is compatible with Vista and/or Sony?
