Projector Dell 5100MP "Laamp Failure" message
After 1700 hours of usage I got the "Lamp Failure" message. All the buttons got blocked and the projector did not react to RC. Only unplugging power helped. I have replaced the bulb with the new from Dell, pressed reset hours and still have the same message. The projector works well, but it gives "Lamp Failure" when I connect it to laptop to watch photos in slide-show mode, or when commercials begin on TV. There is no solution in the Internet. There is no solution from Dell.
I am located in Moscow, Russia and I could not get any support from official Dell people here. My projector has 1.00 firmware. I found in the Internet, that there is newer firmware 1.06.
My question is: How can I download new firmware and firmware update software to avoid sending projector to Dell, USA.

I periodically have the same "Lamp Failure" message. Unplugging then plugging back in the power cord has so far gotten the projector working again.
As far as I know, Dell does not allow users to update firmware on their own. In instances when tech support thought that firmware may be the problem, I was required to send the projector back to Dell for the firmware reinstallation.
