Problem with 4100MP projector (coloured lines)
Hiya
we just bought a Dell 4100MP projector from a friend and when we use it about every 7 or 8 mins you get a sort of coloured (rgb) shadow line thing :emotion-7: around the outside of people or images on the screen. When you blink it goes away or it goes away very quickly like a flicker so i did think i was imagining it at 1st but its not just me who sees it, lol.
I have it hooked up to my Toshiba portable dvd player, as we have no tv we thought this would be better than watching it on an 8" screen. :emotion-2:
It is an ignorable problem but i dont want it to ultimately get worse if we can sort it now. And does anyone know where i can get all of the other bits which it says in the user manual (i just printed) that we were supposed to get with it? we got a power cord, carry case, remote but it looks different (its tiny about 4x6cm) and a lead for video out of the dvd player into the projector?
Thank you in advance for any help or Advice

Might want to look up "rainbow effect" certain percentage of population can see them with dlp projectors . has to do with how the projector makes video using dlp mirrors and a spinning rgb color wheel, most people cant see the effect (or barely)but for some it totally annoying(people are sometimes wired different). i can see them if i shake my head side to side real fast (seriously im not a dork) but luckily i dont have to watch movies that way :emotion-2: "The fix" put up with it or sell the projector and either get a dlp with a faster-more segmented color wheel or lcd projector. good luck S.
