Mouse Pointer Prob on 1908

Hi, I have a 1908FPb Flat Panel. I am using it as a 2nd monitor for a laptop. When I move the mouse pointer to the 1908 the mouse pointer starts misbehaving. For example when I try to resize a window. It wont show the resize icon. It doesnt change in to a carat when I am hovering over a text box. And the most annoying thing is the hit point is different for each application. For example if I try to hit a button on a toolbar the click actually happens on an adjacent button if the tail of the mouse happens to be there. Has anyone seen this? thanks
